EIGHTH WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

17/12/2018 Monday-  21/12/2018 Tuesday

         This week Christmas exams got ended. Pupil were so happy and engaged in Christmas celebrations.  The school had celebrated by cutting Christmas cake.  Each class had their Christmas cakes and they cut it and shared their happiness.They also invited our team.  It was a wonderful experience for us.  This week the school got closed for the Christmas vacation.

  

SEVENTH WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

10/12/2018 Monday- 13/12/2018 Thursday

       This week the school had Christmas exams. Exams were conducted in the morning and afternoon sections.Myself along with Amrutha had exam duty. Students took the examintion seriously.  There were no regular classes in this week. Our juniors who came for their initiatory school experience have got a wonderful experience. Their school initiatory programme ended in this week.
               In this week I helped teachers in arranging question papers and answer sheets. I spent some time in the library. Venad sahodaya festival held in this week.  However it was a nice weekend. 

MODAL VERBS

Modal verbs: A modal verb is a type of verb that is used to indicate modality -that is: likelihood, ability, permission, request, capacity, suggestions, order 
and obligation, and advice etc. They always take base form of verb with them.

Modal verb was a topic in standard 9 Scert textbook. To make the portion interesting and more easier I introduced a ne idea- Interpretation of optical illusion pictures by using modal verbs.

SIXTH WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

3/12/2018 Monday - 7/12/2018 Friday

            In this week we had classes and substitution classes.  My class was observed by optional teacher on 03/12/2018 and she gave me feedbacks. Students conducted assemblies. This week was mainly meant for the preparation for the upcoming Christmas exams.  Revision of various subjects were held in this week.  Our juniors came there for the initiatory school experience. 

         In this week I had completed twenty seven lesson plans altogether. By this week I completed the third chapter -'The Last Leaf 'and started to discuss langugage activities. . I got substitution hours in various classes.  I helped students to revise their exam portions.  I had made enough preparation for the diagnostic and achievement tests. 

FIFTH WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

26/11/2018 Monday - 01/12/2018 Saturday

             Today the fifth week of teaching practice was completed. Asusual the school conducted assembly on monday tuesday and wednesday. The chairman of the school Dr. V. K.  Jayakumar sir congratulated the winners of school kalolsavm. School kalolsavam was conducted on this week at Govt. H.S.S kollam and most of the students were  participated  for the kalolsavam in various items. In this busy schedule most of the classes were taken  by teacher trainees itself. We got substitution classes rather than the normal time table allotted for us. 
              The students and staffs were busy with the final practice of the items like group song, oppana, def muttu etc. individual attention were given to the students who are participating for individual items like mono act, light song, etc.We got an unexpected leave in this week because of strike. To compensate that leave, saturday was considered as working day. On saturday the school conducted Kairali Vikjana Pareeksha. We had exam duties. Myself along with Jesin Jose had taken control of room number 3. It was however a nice experience for me. 

               By this week I had completed two chapters-The Jungle air crash and Another chance. And also I had conducted diagnostic exam in standard 9. Almost all students performed their best in the exam.  And  also i started a new chapter The Last Leaf- written by O. Henry. 

THE JUNGLE AIR CRASH

The Jungle Air Crash written by Juliane koepcke was the first chapter in Unit
4. Juliane Koepcke’s story of survival is something you would never imagine in your worst dreams. Her story is one of the most extreme survival plane crash stories you will hear of. She recounts the entire saga in When I Fell From The Sky .


        The particular story was introduced in class 9 by presenting a still model - model of  LANSA FLIGHT 508 .The story of was about a plane crash. The real plane crash happened in 24 December  1971. However I had presented a plane model to improve students interest in learning particular chapter. Everyone likes flight journey  and all have interest in adventurous activities.To create a  positive image 
in students mind I choose the particularmodel instead of a plane crash 
model.
       After completing the chapter I had presented a story book- Picturisation of story:"The  Jungle Air Crash" as my innovative teaching aid which helps students to easily understand and remember the summary of the story and about the characters.Visual aid can easily transact ideas to students rather  than normal lecture method.

FOURTH WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

19/11/2018 Monday- 24/11/2018 Saturday

      This week we completed our fifteen days of teaching practice. We all spend a good time in the school.  Students of various houses conducted assemblies this week.  Students who won the kalolsavm prices started their practices for the next level competitions. We also visited the classes of our peers and completed our peer evaluation records .

          In this week I had substitution classes and regular classes in accordance with the time table. I completed the chapters 'The Jungle Air Crash' and 'Another chance' and its related textual activities . However I enjoyed this week thoroughly.


    

THIRD WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

12/11/2018 Monday -17/11/2018 Friday

      Third week of teaching practice was really an enjoyable week. We had a lots of fun on this week. This week most of the students had kalolstav programmes. Some others went for Volleyball tournament. Special assembly were held for the prize  distribution of winners for school kalolsavm.

 

 
    Few teachers had duty on these days. So we had many sustitution hours on the week. This week our sabarigiri group had conducted a grant exhibition 'MIRAKI'. The particular exhibition was inagurated by the former ISRO chairman Dr. Madhavan Nair Sir.  This week I had observation class by Anjana miss and Meenu miss. I had taken Lesson template 5 on observation class.

SECOND WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

 05/11/2018 Monday - 09/11/2018 Friday

On Monday the school had an assembly conducted by Nethaji house. In this week we got one holiday for  Diwali. The school had kalolsavm day practices in this week and also some of the students went for their NCC  march past.

      

I had classes and substitution classes in this week. I started a new unit in standard 9 ; chapter 1- "The Jungle Air crash" written by Juliane Koepcke. The particular narrative story is based on a real life incident happened in 1971. I had covered first four Lesson templates using charts and flash cards. Students were very eager to learn the lesson and they show great interest. They coperated and interacted very well. In short we had a nice weekend.

FIRST DAY OF SECOND PHASE TEACHING PRACTICE

02/11/2018  Friday

              As a part of our B.Ed curriculum our fourth semester second phase of teaching practice for thirty days had started from today onwards. We came to school at 8:30 am. The school principal Mr. M.J.Francis sir and all other faculties of the school warmly welcomed us. We then came to our allotted staffroom and Sajeela madam, the coordinator of the school gave some instructions in general.Later we collected our timetable from our concerned subject teachers. The concerned teacher assigned me to take Unit.4 Dawn of Hope.  In the meantime we wrote our lesson plans. Some of us went to their respective classes according to the timetable, while some of us have substitution classes. After lunch break I spend some time in the school library and collected previous Onam exam question papers. We spend a good time at the school today.The school however ends at 3:30pm.
             
Today i got a substitution hour in class 6 on the first hour. The students were all very happy. I had a good experience in the class. However it was a nice day.


  
 

 

Nineth week of Teaching practice

          This week the school had reopened after the onam holidays and floods. We came to school at 8:45am and signed the register .
               Students shared their experiences during the flood days in the class. In this week i had classes and also got substitution hours. Our first phase of teaching practice ends on 31/08/2018.

We had a nice weekend at school. The experiences shared by students during the flood days help us to learn many things.

Eighth week of Teachig practice

          This week we got so many holidays due to rain. We had only three working days in this week. This week i also started a new lesson  from unit 3. According to the lesson plan i finished the lesson. August 15 is considered as the independence day. The chairman of Sabarigiri Group Of Institutions hosted the National Flag. We also had independence day celebrations at school. That makes the day more beautiful and make us feel to proud to be an Indian. Onam holidays started from 16/08/2018.We all had a nice weekend at school. On Tuesday i also conducted my achievement test and students wrote the exam well. It was a nice experience for me.

Seventh week of Teaching practice

          This was a rainy week. On Monday the school had an Assembly. It was conducted by the school itself. In this week we got two holidays due to the heavy rainfall.The school had independence day practices in this week and also some of the students went for their NCC  camp.

        I had classes and substitution classes in this week. I also made enough preparations for the achievement test. I also started a new unit in standard 9. In short we had a nice weekend.

Sixth week of Teaching practice

              In this week i had an observation class on standard 9 and it was observed by Anjana miss. I also started a new lesson in standard 9 and it was a story. Our principal Brahmanandan sir also visited us in this week and gave us some instructions.
                  We also conducted our school based activity in this week. The activity which we selected was to conduct a school assembly based on the topic Self discipline. In that i volunteered the Holybook and Newsreading session. We did it with the help of 9th standard students.Various prizes for the poster competition based on plastic waste management was given in the assembly by the principal.  The assembly was a good one.

       

In this week i also conducted diagnostic test which was based on twenty lesson plans. This week was a good and wonderful week. 

Fifth week of Teaching practice

23/07/2018 - 27/07/2018

                In this week the school had assembly and in that pupil remebered the death aniversary of Vaikom Muhammed Basheer.  I started new lessons according to the lesson plan. In all these days some of us have substitution hours.

 

In this week I took ICT model lesson plans and video lesson according to the instructions given by our teacher.

  

It was a happy week in total.

Fourth week of Teaching practice

 16/07/2018 - 20/07/2018
                  This week was a rainy week . In this week we conducted our feild study based on the topic Plastic waste management.I had presented a paper presentation based  on the topic: Plastic pollution Remedies and solution

we also conducted various competitions based on  our field study.

This week I had classes in std 9 and std 6 and I follow the lesson plan.

In total this was a nice week.I got many substitution hours in this week and from that  i learned classroom management. 

Third week of Teaching practice

           As usual I arrived the school sharp at 8.45am .Prathibha miss and Gopika miss visited as in this week.I had completed the chapter 'Nobility of service' .July 11 is considered as the world population day .Students of various houses presented their articles and posters. we also guided them in  those activities.Peer evaluation classes were seen in this week. All trainees done it well. 

July 12 is considered as the World Malala day.As a part of it students created various posters and essays. Through this, pupil learned more about Malala and her message to the whole world. 

This week was a wonderful week.
       
                   

Second week of Teaching practice

2/07/2018 - 6/07/2018

                    As usual we arrived the school sharp at 8.45am .Prathibha miss and Anjana miss visited as in this week. Due to party strike we got holidays this week. From this week I got the class incharge of standard 6, though the class teacher was on medical leave. Students were interactive and they all are active in my class. We  got many substitutions on this week. I had introduced moral stories, interesting puzzles and games for them. This week was a wonderful week.

         

First week of teaching practice

                     Our 1st week of teaching practice begins on 22nd June.we all reached at 8.45am.After signing the register, we all entered in to our alloted staffroom.I had opted class 9th for the teaching session.I took classes in this week.I started a new lesson and the students were interactive.We had observation classes in this week. Anjana miss and Meenu miss observed our class. Distribution of seeds to students were also held in this week as part of the environmental day celebrations.

                                     

  June 26th is considered as anti-drugs day.The NCC cadets of Sabarigir H. S. S had conducted a small march past from the school.It was a good and active one. Students actively participated in the programme. A lot of programmes were held in this week and that makes our teaching practice a nice and beautiful one. 

This weekend was a good one with lots of activities and classes. Students all are good.

First phase of teaching practice

 Started from 22-06-2018 Friday on Sabarigiri H. S. S Anchal.

                Our first day of teaching practice begins on 22/06/2018. We eight teacher trainees had opted sabarigiri H.S.S Anchal. We came here by 8 30 am and met the principal Mr. M. G. Francis sir.  He gave us proper instructions and ample facilities. After that  we met Sajeela madam , the staff co-ordinator  gave us some instructions regarding  teaching and school discipline. Three of us had taken the classes according to the lesson plan.  Meenu miss from our college visited us.  Later our Principle Brahmanandan sir visited us and gave instructions.We got a happy and heartly welcome from the school management and students.

Today's important...  June 21 is the international world yoga day. Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's tradition.  It embodies unity of mind and body;  thought and action; harmony between men and nature;  a holistic approach to health and well-being.
